How It Works

Three Steps to Your Guardian

1

Tell Us Who You Are

Your birth date, your name, and what you seek — peace, courage, prosperity, health, wisdom, or love. This is all we need.

2

The Classic Decides

Your birth data maps to an element and direction in the Shan Hai Jing cosmology. The engine cross-matches all 45 auspicious beasts and selects yours — the same input always yields the same guardian.

3

Receive Your Beast

A numbered, certified digital portrait with its true provenance card — the exact chapter and passage of the classic your guardian comes from. Delivered to your inbox within 24 hours.

Certified Provenance

Every Beast Carries Its True Origin

In an age of endless AI images, provenance is everything. Each artwork ships with a provenance card citing the exact chapter of the classic your guardian comes from, the original passage it is based on, and your permanent limited-edition number — registered to you alone.

Our Craft

Not a Random Generator — A Living Classic

AI-ASSISTED · HUMAN-CURATED

Built on a 2,300-year-old canon

The Shan Hai Jing (Classic of Mountains and Seas) is China's oldest mythological bestiary — 45 guardian creatures, each with its own power, region, and elemental virtue. We don't invent beasts; we match you to one that already exists in the canon, using the classic's own five-elements and direction system.

Every portrait is generated with AI and then hand-curated by our team — we adjust composition, seal placement, and the provenance citation so each piece reads as a dignified guardian, not a stock image. In a flood of AI slop, real provenance is our promise.

Your input deterministically locks your beast and your limited-edition number. Order twice with the same data, receive the exact same guardian — a true one-of-one keepsake.

Questions

Frequently Asked

How is my guardian chosen?

We map your birth date to an element and direction in the Shan Hai Jing cosmology, then cross-match all 45 guardian beasts by their elemental virtue and your stated intent (peace, courage, prosperity, health, wisdom, or love). The same input always yields the same guardian.

What do I actually receive?

Two PNG editions — a 1024 px web edition and a 2048 px print-ready edition — plus a Certificate of Provenance citing your beast's exact chapter and original passage from the classic, and your permanent limited-edition number.

Can I print it?

Yes. The 2048 px edition prints crisply at poster size. You may print for personal use; commercial resale of the artwork is not permitted.

Will someone else get my beast?

Different birth data maps to different beasts, so most guardians are unique. Your limited-edition number, however, is registered to you alone and never reused — and re-orders with the same data always reproduce your exact guardian.

How fast is delivery?

Within 24 hours by email. Because it's a digital download, there's no shipping and it's available worldwide.

What is your refund policy?

Each guardian is a personalized digital creation generated from your data, so all sales are final. If something is wrong with your file, contact us and we'll make it right. Full terms are in our Terms & Refunds.
